Will you be entering grades 5-12 in the fall of 2020?
The Heermance Memorial Library is looking for students to join its BATTLE OF THE BOOKS Teams. This year we will be having two teams: one for Middle School and one for High School. “Mid-Hudson Battle of the Books encourages middle and high school-aged readers in our five-county region by introducing them to great books, authors, and their fellow readers in an atmosphere of friendly competition and good sportsmanship.” Each person on the team reads a selection of books, middle school has 6 titles, high school has 5 titles. The team meets once a month starting in March with dates to be announced and then weekly meetings will begin in June. The actual battle for the high school team will be on August 21st and the middle school battle will be on August 22nd. The location(s) for the battles will be decided in the future.
If you are interested in joining one of the teams please come into the library to sign up. Or if you have any questions feel free to call us or stop in.
