The Eddy Alzheimer’s Services – Presentation

Learn about the availability of free support and respite services for caregivers. 
The Eddy Alzheimer’s Services are a program that provides a wide range of free support and respite services for caregivers across a 10 county region through the Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Initiative: which is a grant supported by the Department of Health.
A representative from the Eddy will be available, along with someone from Catholic Charities, to share information and answer questions.

Get Creative!

Mini Art Journal Class

Saturday, September 21 at 10:30 am

Instructor: Marisa O’Neill

Participants will create a Mini Art  Journal out of small brown coin envelopes; which they will alter using paint, stamps, mark making tools and collage.

Artist/instructor: Ruth Leonard
Creating art with recycled materials is a wonderful opportunity for children to use their imaginations with items otherwise destined for a landfill or recycling center. Ms. Leonard will bring examples of various creatures for participants to use as a springboard for their own ideas. Provided will be a variety of items to make an under structure. Paper pulp and paper strips and paste will be added to give volume and shape to the under-structure. Finally they will glue on items such as buttons and bottle caps, and then paint the surface.
